While the Grand Theft Auto series has always achieved an amazing amount of success, the Grand Theft Auto Online propelled GTAV into a entirely new stratosphere: over 150 million copies sold since the game released in September 2013.
The craziest part? Grand Theft Auto V Expanded and Enhanced is planned for release this Fall on November 11th on the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X, which will add even more to that total. Take-Two even mentioned that the game has sold over 5 million copies since the prior quarter results.
The Grand Theft Auto series has now accumulated sales of over 350 million copies since the series started in 1997. Amazing. I would have never, EVER have imagined the series reaching these news when I first played GTA at my friend’s house on the PS1.
Simply amazing! Congrats to Rockstar Games on creating a juggernaut series that has given this Brah a ton of great gaming memories.
