As a longtime can of both Marvel and Capcom, when Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was announced last year, I was ‘excited af’, as the cool kids would say.
All of these classic fighting games I’ve enjoyed the past 25+ years in one package, with trophies, AND I didn’t have to spend hundreds of bucks to play them all? I’M TAKING IT FOR A RIDE, BRAH!
If you own the collection, how would you like a new update courtesy of Capcom? It’ll arrive on April 16th on all consoles!
Official update details below:
- X-Men vs. Street Fighter
- Version Select – Select which version to play for X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Chose between versions 960910, 961004, and 961023.
- Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
- Resolution Option – Change the resolution for Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. Increase graphics quality for smoother game visuals.
- General
- Offline Versus – Play Versus Mode in all fighting titles. Battle to your heart’s content!
- Menu Button Settings – Menus during online play can now be opened with a long press to avoid accidental inputs.
- Game Reset – Reset the game directly from the pause menu.
- New Artwork – View new artwork by Capcom artist Shinkiro.
- Bonus Tracks – Groove out to remixes of classic songs by CAP-JAMS from the Capcom Sound Team.
- “Theme of Captain America” arranged by CAP-JAMS
- “Theme of Cyclops” arranged by CAP-JAMS
- “Theme of Jin” arranged by CAP-JAMS
- “Theme of Captain Commando” arranged by CAP-JAMS
The best part? The resolution mode, offline versus mode, menu button setting, and game reset changes will also be coming to Capcom Fighting Collection and the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection 2!
