I reported last week that the next-gen version of GreedFall would release tomorrow, June 30th, and even went as far as to mentioning that PS+ subscribers would receive the free next-gen update when it did.
Unfortunately Spiders Games confirmed today that the PS+ version of GreedFall won’t be eligible for the free next-gen upgrade on their Twitter account for the game.
While PS5 members get the cold shoulder, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get the Xbox Series update for the game. Smart delivery for the win in this situation? Perhaps Sony only paid for the PS4 license of GreedFall? Not entirely sure.
When we reported this news last week, I assumed PS+ would’ve been eligible for the upgrade. My daddy-o always warned me about assuming things. Because when you assume, you make..ah, I’m sure you know where that was going. I apologize for the misinformation!
