While the whole ‘Sonic vs Mario’ rivalry kinda went the way of the dodo bird after Sega became a third party publisher, right?
Yes, I own both Mario Kart World and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. So we here at House Brah do not discriminate against one mascot or the other.
However, Sega has decided to go with the Super Smash Bros. route with CrossWorlds and I’m totally down for it!
For example, the Mega Man DLC pack hit today for CrossWorlds. For a small price you get to race as both Mega Man and Proto Man, drive around in a Rush kart, AND there’s a Dr. Wily stage! Did I mention remixed music??
So while you get to race around as Mario with an uninspired outfit, I’ll be slamming Knucles off the track with Proto Man while ‘Let’s Go Away’ from Daytona USA rocks on in the background. Life is good.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available now on the PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Nintendo Switch 1 & 2, and PC.
