The monthly reveal for the PS Plus Essential games is often a carousel of emotions for subscribers because one amazing month of ‘free’ games is often followed by a stinker or three.
This month reminds me that the majority of the PlayStation fanbase is made up of casual games who either play the latest, greatest shooter or the yearly sports release until the next game releases with updated rosters.
That’s perfectly ok! So while May’s PS Plus Essential headliner is EA Sports FC Club 26 and I don’t give a damn about that game, millions of other Gamers are excited ‘AF’ to get the game for free.
I am excited to play Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Nine Sols though! Yes, we understand that Soccer/Football is the most popular sport in the world. That isn’t enough to get me to play the game though.
YOUR PS Plus Essential games for May 2026:
EA Sports FC Club 26 (PS4, PS5)
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5)
Nine Sols (PS4, PS5)
These titles can be added to your library starting May 5th! April’s lineup is still available to download until May 4th, so don’t miss out, Brah!
