With the success of PlayStation VR, it should be no surprise that Sony is looking at how they can already improve the experience. We have seen patents for possibly new controllers as well as for the headset itself. It seems a new patent has been filed that would possibly not use controllers but devices that could be worn on the wrist and transmit infrared light, which the headset would be able to pick up. This would make for some interesting immersion, as it would be able to track your fingers.
But this could get really interesting, as could his meaning of a way of moving around without cables, possibly to being able to stream to the PS5, kind of like how remote play works, but much more powerful. Of course, we can all speculate, as we do not yet know all the specs of the PS5, but all these patents have me really excited about what is to come in virtual reality and PlayStation VR, and you should be excited as well.
