Another intruder entered the strange, unstable area between spaces, and the place shook and began to alter. Within this now-shifting region of space, ten test areas from a host of different arcade-style games were stuffed into a very small space. The geometric forms were all jagged and were composed of individual pixels. As the traveler moved from trial to trial, sharp, static-filled spines shot out from the walls in the test’s puzzle area and in the assaultive fighting areas of the Omens gauntlet. Mem portrays these areas of the dream as intensely animated, and here the brilliant, glowing memory fragments that moved through space were immediately sucked into the varying areas of the dream, causing them to instantaneously change from one completely alien physical nature to another. Some of the corridors seemed to stretch on in strange and unfamiliar directions; gravity fluctuated wildly here; and, with every new upgrade the traveler collected for the various hazards, they began to Assault the traveler in increasing numbers and with greater frequency. Strange songs, such as BubblENUMOng and transportive ambient pieces, resonated off of the shimmering, translucent surfaces of this ever-changing region of the living dream. The shape of the corridors of the dream continued to alter in order to trap the wanderer within its twisting passages.
