Cleaning up after a sudden blizzard to leave a coastal town and get back to work is surprisingly calming. Strolling through the empty, snow-covered streets of the quiet harbor, reconnecting old steam pipes to clear them and get warmth back to all the areas of town is simple when you have a good snow vacuum. The snow cleared is loaded into the local furnaces where it immediately converts to useful steam. That steam then gets added back to the grid to re-light homes that have gone dark, to clear thawed-out roads, and to melt the ice blocking up the vents and other openings. Every so often you stop to help a local resident, clearing out ice from the entrance to a shop, delivering things to the other side of town, fixing up a connection here and there. All of these tasks aid the town in preparing for the upcoming winter festival, but none of them are done under any kind of pressure. There are no harsh timers, no high-stakes danger, and certainly no combat in this very relaxed and peaceful cleanup of a town. Watching the walkway clear up icy sections, turning into a glowing, cleared-up street, section by section, is very satisfying. The cleanup is done at a very relaxed pace, as if you were to spend an afternoon doing these sorts of things. Step by step, the chill is taken out of the air, the steam starts to rise, and the town starts to come back to life just in time for the festival.
