One Chance To Survive: Will You Escape the Nightmare In Trenches VR On PlayStation VR2?

by Mr. PSVR/2

My breath hitches, an icy knot tightening in my gut. Family. The word echoes in my mind, a beacon in this suffocating darkness. God, I have to get back to them. This… this isn’t right. One moment, I was in the trenches; the next, this endless maze of mud and corrugated iron, twisting and turning like a fever dream. And that sound… a scraping, a guttural breath I can feel in my bones. It’s out there. Always out there.

Footsteps, they said. Every creak of my boots on this cursed ground is a drumbeat for that thing. I’ll have to be light on my feet, ghost through these damned passages. Diversions, then? A well-aimed boot against a loose plank, perhaps? Or that whistle… a desperate gamble, I suppose. Sound to find a clue, sound to draw the beast. A fool’s choice, maybe, but what other choice do I have?

The walls… they keep shifting, don’t they? One moment a familiar dugout, the next a dead end, a gaping maw where a path used to be. My mind’s playing tricks, or this whole place is. Gotta stay sharp, trust my instincts, not my eyes. Look for the narrow ways, the crawl spaces, anywhere to slip past that… whatever it is.

One save. One chance. The weight of it settles on me like the trench mud. Fail, and I’m back here, reliving this hell over and over. No, not me. I’m James R. I’m getting home.

Features include:

  • An Immersive Experience: With realistic graphics and a claustrophobic environment set in the trenches of World War I in 1917.
  • Hardcore Gameplay: A hardcore survival horror game where there is only 1 save. If you die, you die. That is why every step is crucial.
  • Replayability: Randomized locations for clues so that playthroughs will be different on each take, with various takes on each corner.
  • Hearing and Senses: Rely on your hearing to escape the trenches. Be careful, though; the enemies can mimic the sounds familiar to you.
  • Hiding System: Hide from the enemies in narrow trench passageways and under beds to get past your enemies or hide from them.
  • Insanity: Just because you passed somewhere already does not mean that there is nothing there. The environment may change with your sanity.
  • Gut-Wrecking Moments: Walking on wood can make more noise, the same as throwing bottles; all these things can give away your position. Try to evade them or use them to your advantage.
  • Trench Whistle: Use your trench whistle if you are lost. When used, a sound will play if you are near a clue; however, the enemies may hear your trench whistle, and it may give away your position, so use it wisely.
  • Enemy That Listens: The enemies can hear your footsteps, your breathing, and your fear. It can mimic the sounds of others and will stop at nothing to get to you.
  • Enemy That Listens: The enemies can hear your footsteps, your breathing, and your fear. It can mimic the sounds of others and will stop at nothing to get to you.
  • Plan Accordingly: Plan your next move, as it may be your last. Peak around corners, watch your footsteps, and always be on the move.
