I won’t lie to you. Back during my youth, I was always a Capcom guy. Did I enjoy SNK games? Hell, yeah I did!
When it came down to it, Capcom’s fighters and side-scrollers had my attention. Still do! My Parents could afford to get an SNES or Game Boy, but a NEOGEO AES? AW HELL NAH!!! That didn’t stop me from enjoying the greatness of Samurai Showdown, Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, or King of Fighters over the past 35+ years that I’ve been gaming!
So it pleases me to see SNK out there kickin’ ass and taking names. They’ve been supporting the hell out of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves since it launched last year. They’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Metal Slug series with the announcement of a new entry in the series. During EVO Las Vegas this weekend, they made several announcements!
Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star is NOW available to download (for a price!) as part of the season two character pass for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves!
NINJA MASTER’S is being re-released as part of the NEOGEO Premium Selection Label! Check out all the new updates and improvements that have been made to the game in the trailer below!! It’s currently on sale on Steam for $14.99!
THE PATH OF THE WARRIOR: ART OF FIGHTING 3 R is also coming to Steam as part of the NEOGEO Premium Selection Label! It will be updated to feature ‘modern features, including online multiplayer, rollback netcode, a robust Practice Mode, and a VS Mode. Additionally, two of the most beloved characters in the Art of Fighting series, King and Yuri Sakazaki, make their debut as playable fighters in ART OF FIGHTING 3 R.’
No release date was given. You can watch the reveal trailer below!
Oh! They’re also about to drop a major update for King of Fighters XV, which was released in 2022. Get it, Brah!! Kudos to SNK for all this juicy content for longtime fans and potentially new fans in the future!
